Just came back from Induction at Tyneside office. Was quite a informative day. very well laid out and interesting to find out all the stuff and finally discover what a Yorkie was etc etc etc.

Quick guidance needed on one topic though.

a few days ago i posted asking about D2D and payment of them etc etc and receieved the answer back, something along the lines of we get paid £20 per week for them pro rata.

but I noticed in the "Delivery Office Training Aid" is says we get paid for each item delivered, based on the weight of each item? I am confused......


Can someone clear this up for me?

The printed blurb is out of date, we used to get paid so much per item, now we don't get paid for them , but we get £20 a week delivery suppliment, whether you have any or not.

I was kind of suspecting that maybe the case about the "out of date, printed material"

Not so much a mistake as sharp practice,most of these inductors have not stepped inside a delivery office for years.
Here's some other examples of mis-selling the job....
"you start on 25hours,but you'll soon be made up to full-time"
"Don't worry all of your round will be ready(thrown-in)for you"
"They'll be plenty of overtime"

Spot on robd add 1 in 4 saturdays off to that one! Apart from what they sell you and what you get so far my 4 months with the RM have been good i'd go as far as saying its a good job!
