long service awards

just a quick question , i completed 25 years service in july this year should i have got an award ? i got one at 15 and 20 and the leaflet says 25 but does anyone know if they have cut that back as well

yeah, it is every ten years now, but 10,20,30 etc etc.

Don't know if you get an award for 25 years service but you deserve a bloody medal , we all do for the s**t we've had to put up with the past few years.

judging by my partners 10 year and 20 year ones youll get it about two years late and with the wrong starting dates etc he actually completed 20 years then left via ill health retirement, his totally invaluable and priceless piece of plastic crap (paperweight) stated "thanks for your 18 years service"

The same happened to me just about to get my 25yrs service in then they changed it to
every 10yrs.That was 9 yrs ago think i got a voucher for £150 .Woopie do

No, you get increased AL at 5, 15 and 20 years service.

29 Here too and will do with the stuff the same as I do with it every time. Destroy it. Certificates, cufflinks all in the bin in the office. Turn down the free meals and don't attend. Sitting on a table with managers I don't speak to at work? Not likely. I come to work and then go home. Simples. Eeek.

Don't think I'll be here for the 40 one. TNT here we come and £5.85 an hour to boot

No, you get increased AL at 5, 15 and 20 years service.

What extra entitlement do you get after 5 years i've been with RM about 9 yrs now and still only get the 4 weeks that i got when i first joined. 2 summer weeks and 2 winter weeks. So where's the extra entitlement ????

Annual Leave Entitlement:
On entry = Four and a half weeks.
After 5 years = Four weeks and 3.5 days.
After 15 years = Five weeks and 1 day.
After 20 years = Six weeks.

So i'm basically owed 3.5 days per years over the last 9 years, or does it come down to what part of the country we work in or is it another bloody Local Agreement thing??
