According to our manager who has just been found out for defrauding us of overtime, in response to my 'pay me or i'll bring it back' routine.
There appears to be many oppinions but no definition, which is strange because this is a common and growing problem.
Does any one have a nationally agreed definition of whats what?

If you inform the Dom before leaving office that you are cutting off because you can't complete in time it is NOT wilfull delay.
Get a witness to conversation, once you have informed Dom it is his responsibility to get mail delivered.

I think 'cutting off ' and 'not being able to complete' are two different things.
Both require you telling a manager before hand but
Cutting off involves bringing mail back when you run out of time and
Not being able to complete involves negotiating what you can do in your time and leaving the rest in the office for the managers to deal with.

See a manager before you go out.
If you miss-judge the amount of time needed to complete your delivery and your on the street then phone the office to speak to the Dom. Ask him what he wants you to do either "cut off" and bring back our pay you OT, if your able to work over. Its then the doms choice and not yours.

Usually, you imform lino or dom that you cant complete , he then should instruct you to what you should do. You can agree to leave some there and then or you can agree to take it all out and attempt to deliver it and bring back what you cant deliver. Sometimes late pouch drops can make you go over your time, try and contact your DO if not just take it back and explain.

Please make sure you have a rep or at least witnesses when you speak to you manager,chances are the manager will tell you to take it all out and 'complete it or else',make sure others hear all this.

Thats what I thought, But he just looked scared ( at the thought of work maybe) and started to repeat himself like polititions do, To deter further engagement. To be fair, he (they) appear to be just patsies for the higher managment. Just doing and repeating what they are told. Today I showed him my new record keeping system, which could help to prove the overtime issue.
He looked flustered and he knows I am taking an interest. ITs not all the overtime they are defrauding, just shaving off alittle here and there, and not just mine.
