If you involved in si meetings and resourcing then you are entitled to some training on the IWT tool.
I had joint training with DOM so we both understood it. You cannot be involved in discussions until
you understand this tool or they will shaft you big style. I would also suggest you reject a table top revision,
as they only seem to want to go down this route when there are no savings to be made. I would suspect they
have already put your duties through geo route and that it says you need more hours investing, not taking
out. That is my experience anyway.

IWT:
Takes your hours against the codes H11 and G54 to measure your office performance. The tool has Planning values (PV's) and these will change depending on the BSI setting 100 down. This is on the summary sheet and you can change the values on any cells that are yellow. I estimate that your office will be around 40-50BSI if you don't validate your RCS or 318 DMS.
Basically you should find that over time people have been moved of sorting or prep to do other things, but the RCS or 318 hasn't been updated. The more you reduce these hours the better your preformance will be.
Also get the RCS subcode guide via the intranet and cross check each code so you understand what each code means. I think both H11 and G54 also are used for team huddles and so obviously you aren't doing sort or prep, but the IWT doesn't understand this.
If you have bikes or HCT's then you should also have the subcode m27 on the RCS since this is for checking them. We use M11 for the vans and this is a safety requirement for the bikes and HCT's. These checks are five minute tasks and could help reduce the h11 or g54 hours,since this is where the hours are.
You can also get a users guide via the royal mail site and again the PV are not agreed standards yet.
