Unmarked speed humps

Does anyone know where I stand regarding crashing over an unmarked speed bump and damaging my car. I have had a few people tell me to get pics of the speed bump and to measure the size then ring the council for a claim form. Will i get anywhere or is it a fruitless exercise.

There's one that I have to drive over everyday that is at least twice that is isin't marked (it's there to slow down 40' lorries) but I've never managed to damage my vehicle

Its just a case of slowing down at an appropriate speed...any higher than 10cm then its illegal!

It needs to have White arrows on the bump or warning signs ahead on poles, if they have not got them your laughing. Photo it before they put the lines on, photo the poles on the street, you need a no win no fee solicitor. Is it your exaust that got injured or the car in general.

You'd think RM would have an agreement with the recovery firms that they're recovered with the vehicle covered over so as not to give the company a bad name. There's a prestigious make of car (which I can't remember the name of) that, if it ever breaks down, the breakdown company has to send out a covered trailer so that people won't see a car of their make on the back of a recovery truck.

Went down and took some photos, no white arrows at all, totally worn away. It was my missus' car, a merc A class and I think the radiator has cracked.

I did a wishbone about 18 months ago which cost me £175 on a un marked black speed cushion. Just did not see it in the dark and hit the smegger at about 35 mph. .................................................ouch
