manager telling me not to turn up for my SA

I would like some advice about a problem that I had with my line manager:

I asked for 3 lieu days to my manager for family reasons.
I got these 3 days, but for unexpected problems I had to extend this leave to one more day, so I phoned the office the day before I was supposed to return to let them know I would not be able to return to work on Friday, but I would return on Saturday for my 4 hours SA.
On Friday I got a phone call from my line manager to tell me not to turn up for my SA because people are not supposed to be shown on OT until they return from leave. i.e. he wanted to punish me financially for not returning when I supposed.
I'm not the confrontional type of person and I didn't turn up for my SA.
Still I feel that this isn't the proper way to handle my absence from work, and he just gave me a poor excuse for punishing me.

Could he really forbid me to do my weekly SA ?
Was his excuse real and applicable to SA ? Can OT and SA can be cancelled to people who are on provisional leave even though they say that they will return for the OT/SA ?

Why would you want to work anyway?? Just take the time off, put your feet up and relax

And why have you a Mon-Fri duty?? Most peple on here would kill for that (and they certainly wouldn't be going in on the Saturday).

You're not going to get your OT if you're off, it may be a bit of malice on your managers side but you really need to stop doing the OT and learn to enjoy the little time you actually get off from RM.

OK, I'll keep it simple so that you can understand - you where off on leave so therefore you can't work any OT - if you can't grasp that simple statement then I don't know what else to do.

I have a plan for you - Go into work on Monday and tell them you're not going to do anymore OT and that way you'll never have the problem again

I'm sorry but I can't grasp that simple statement. How can be somebody "off on leave". Either you are off or not, but not "off on leave".
You don't get OT if you are on leave, but you can get OT if you aren't , and I wasn't off on Saturday.

As a rule regardless of what days you work,if you have a weeks holiday then you are not allowed to come in on docket or SA.
It's in the way forward.

Your one is slightly grey as at 1st you did not have the week off you only had part of it and it was at the start of the week.
If you worked Friday then you would have a case,but i'm thinking cause you had the Fri off it threw a spanner in the works.

Tough one,you might just have to swallow it,which tbf it's gone now and you've no choice.
Also baring in mind you had family reasons for the time off the manager could of been a bit more sympathetic.

Just to add further confusion - if it is your S.A and not just overtime (as in your contracted) any change to that from RM's position should be arranged a month before. Honestly, this no OT when you return thing ive never heard of before.

You are not allowed to WORK for the business if you are on holiday,period.
