Well - back to work next week after 4 months on the sick !

Wonder what fun and games will be in store for me on my return

I went back last month after 2 months off and got greated with a stage 1 yee haaa!!

I will no doubt be up on a Stage 2 or Stage 3 - not sure what i was on before I went off but they know where they can shove it

been off since 19th june, awaiting an 'mri' scan on me knee, but....was phoned today by assistant dom asking if i was available to go in tomorrow, and have a face to face with the new dom(whom i,ve never yet met). i forgot to ask what it was for, but i suppose it,ll be to either pressure me into going back or asking if i,ll consider medicall pay off. neither will be my response. i,ll go back once i,ve had my knee assessed and if i,m fit to go back.

Good luck with the new Dom mate you will need it, You don't know how lucky you have been so far.
Odds on ill health retirement is mentioned and all very friendly the meeting will be too.

HE/she can be very persuasive and make it sound like your best/only option.
And in truth mate it is a good option as opposed to staying with the new regime.

ATOS casually mentioned that to me,i'm only back after 5 months,told them what they could do with it,stage 1(whoops,i mean welcome back)meeting next week,i have already had a stage 1 for the original injury,can they give me another one 12 months later after surgery? i was under the impression that it all came under one long term period,i did tell them that surgery was going to happen

They cannot force you but if you have a long absence and the business cannot see any improvement in your condition in the medium term, they will consider you for IHR. There is obviously is a appeals process but you HAVE to prove with medicial evidence that your illness/injury will improve in the short term.

IHR is only 34 weeks pay (plus notice period ) .That is the same for everyone who has a years service.. IHR will be more than TMA in a few months time....

If it was an AOD then you could argue your case,it it wasn't,you're f****d.

You shouldnt really get a stage warning following an operation...

well, i,ve been off for roughly 10/11 weeks, and i still havent had a full medicall assessment yet,they insisted physio for 6 weeks would do the trick,...it didnt, and i knew it wouldnt, then they realised i need further investigation, so i,m booked in to see a specialist on the 23rd of this month, but its up to him to say if they are going to send me for a scan or not...as far as i,m concerned, its been a total waste of time sending me for physio, if they,de sent me for a scan in the first place they would,ve sussed the problem, and i could,ve had either corrective surgery or at least i would,ve known if it was repairable or not....so i can,t see how they can force IHR on me if its still unclear if it can be fixed or not. but its all so bloody time consuming.

I'm still waiting to see a Neurologist but my DOM and ATOS have left me alone.
