My current duty within the Royal Mail is to deliver parcels and packets. Can anyone tell me what the size scale for such a delivery is... with more emphasis on the smaller end of the scale! I was lead to believe ( which has been backed up by management ) that the smaller end starts at the size of a shoebox and upwards... sooo can anyone out there tell me the true measurements?? I have had items thrown my way which would go through a letterbox without touching the sides which to me is ridiculous. If I was to leave these items then I would most likely be accused of wilfully delaying mail!
Hope someone out there can answer this one!

Do you have the time to deliver them? The posties have to put other things (like post) into their bags and if they where to take 2/3 large packets and be unable to deliver them then how are they supposed to transport them around their duty until the end?

its a van drivers parcel if it does not fit into the box on the primary fitting

Tbh i would personally ignore the links myself as common sense should prevail,but there are w*****s on both sides,walkers and drivers.

exactly.theres many factors over a simple size guide
eg the duty i was on yesterday is linear.so whilst you can put any no entry letters into a postbox as you go,you have to carry all the packets(or dead walks 4+ miles at the end to pouch boxes
so you need to key this into the packets you take
however on the flip i will take oversized packets for the businesses and a street where theres loads of old folks as i know i will get rid of them
