I have seen it for myself. Do not know wether this is a national thing ? But RM put out to tender and Shell / Maxel. won the contract . So instead of going to your local Tescos and filling up you have to go a Shell garage . Bye bye club points . Another liitle perk gone ! Will be told in a WTL session this week.
Any rurals in the middle of nowhere will have to travel miles to there nearest shell garage ! Yes really saving money that one !
I kid you not. What ever whizz came up with this idea ? Probably getting free shell petrol for life ?

ours is Esso, been told only Esso garages, only thing is it's a small place and the Esso garage has no car wash oops !! next Esso is like 40 mins away.
so look forward to a lot of mucky vans, will they tell the difference?

Don't know if there are many Shell stations in NI but we have a few Maxol station 
but we have plenty of BPs

Shell have a shell card... I use that and get my points from them. Got £2.50 off fuel. Woohoo.

Our shell garage is a independant and is normally a few pence dearer per litre than the National one also no car wash.

we have ouir own fuel in our D.O,good job really,cos every time it runs out & we have to go to the local petrol station at least 3 vans are off the road due to drivers filling them to the throat with petrol,oh the fun we have taking the pi$$............DOM doesn't think its funny tho

Yeah this is right, we got our maxol cards a few weeks ago. We have a maxol garage here in our town (n.ireland) so it was a handy changeover for us. Cant see everywhere being as handy as that though!

We have very clean rain up here so don't need to wash the vans as often. Unless it's rained and the van goes down a country lane in which case it comes back a nice shade of mud.
When the saleswoman from the van wash detergent people (their name escapes me now) called and asked me if we needed anymore and I said we still had 2 bottles. She was like "well, it's just that you haven't ordered any for X months" I told her we have very clean rain too and she laughed.
One office I worked at in the last year doesn't have a petrol station within 6 miles and that one is a Shell. I think the next nearest is about 10 miles away and that's a Total. The one that was in the town and closed without warning overnight, was an independant.
