speeding drivers = conduct code

Latest thing we have been asked to sign in N Ire;and, if we get a speeding ticket, we get points , plus fine and now, also plus conduct coded!! ..........can they do that? Is anyone else getting this? Also, a lad is being conduct coded because a member of the public phoned in with his van reg. number, saying they didnt like how he overtook them. So, he has been driving an RM van with no previous, for years, now an uncorroberated allegation is being believed , from a stranger , over his word? Surely a precedent that cannot be allowed to be set? Comments welcome..

Guys, fast replies .............thanks. Im surprised at that i must say..."speeding in an rm van = conduct code." Never knew that was the norm, thanks.Interesting to see what others will say, i see a reply already showing dismay. I thought points/fine was plenty punishment!!
I really got the impression, and i mean REALLY, that the guys in our office were in total shock at this, and i hope to God they take heed, and dont speed any more, no matter what problems they face. We all speed up due to a minor delay adding minutes to our times, but the double whammy of conduct code added to licence records should make us all think twice..............................i say .again, is this nothing new? Postman seems to think not, anyone else?

The other thing, yep, seem intent on taking a member of the public's word. Our word counts for nowt, sad.

This should be a wake up call to all drivers to obey to laws of the road and to hell with RM and their targets, I drive at the speed limit but others speed like maniacs (I witnessed a double overtake on a blind bend by one of our 'safe' drivers ).

In RM world the precedent has been set 100s of times in conduct cases,proven guilt has nothing to do with conduct cases.
"Reasonable Belief" from a lying scumbag Dom looking to climb the ladder by sacking someone is enough to satisfy the dismissal lust of RM.
