Anyone else having trouble getting new kit, ive asked for several items a few times now, note is duly taken and then filed under 'bin' i think. Are they waiting for the revisions for the new stuff or is it part of the budgeting that has us looking like Worzel Gummidge? i might just get my shoes in time for the bad weather when boots would be more appropriate then have to go through the whole rigmarole again.

No problems so far, all the new kit turned up except the Baseball hat as that was out of stock for the moment. I had to send the Cagoule back because the zip was broken but I got a replacement within a week.

I was referring to the navy trews red polos blue shirts combo we've been using for years, zip bust one one pair, split from a to b on the other pair, leaky boots, you name it , its gone wrong. Urgent need doesn't seem to be a factor in them arriving.

in our DO you phone from the office with the gaffer there, you give the oneline bods the details and he gives them the ok.

But unless you're ordering every week you should not need the ok from the managers.

Kinda what we have to do, give the gaffer the details of what we need along with the pay number and it's usually sorted quite quick. They never question regular re-orders of shoes, you only have to show them the worn out soles

No, the safeguard, is that the Uniform Helpline keeps track of what you've ordered and when. So if you order somthing before they think it should need replacing. They refuse, unless your Manager confirms that you need it.

For example: My Magnum Safety Boots kept falling apart every 2-3 Months, and they wouldn't issue new ones, as they said they should last a year. So I had to get my Manager to phone them, before they'd issue replacements.

Same as my office, maybe if they'd bring in enough planners from Scotland then we wouldn't have the problem

1 office in liverpool had all the new uniform delivered. It has all been stored, and all the staff were told no new uniform until they have a revision. But the downside of this is that if they need any new uniform they have been told that they can't order anything.

Same thing has happened in my hubby's office. Problem is they didn't tell them this at the time they got them to fill the order forms in. Hubby is currently trying to lose weight but ordered his usual size pants thinking he'd be wearing them straight away. By the time their park and loop comes in he'll have most likely lost a lot more weight and need a different size ordering, just hope they don't have a problem with him returning them by then.
