A woman on my walk lets me use her shed as a bag drop, she's just had a letter sent to her by RM, they still want her to let us drop my bag there but pay her less for the privilege, they want to drop it from £100 per year to £25, she as said no and I have now lost use of her shed, what a sh*t company this now is.

Start cutting off every day because the nearest drop point is too far away. That'll teach the bean counters

the company is not s**t, your approuch is you moron, this is what we have vans for to drop bags out to individuals and not use the general public for.
If then however this then proves that the duty your currently doing needs looking at then so be it.

I'm not in PR brother I'm just a blue shirt, however the blue shirt should not winge, wine and mone regarding a change in working conditions and just accept that this is now a god send that the duty can now be calculated to its original form

If these suddenly refused to be used as bag drops there are walks where i would be royally screwed for bag pick ups and unfortunately the alternative, timed bags, normally leave me waiting around while i should be delivering.

the relief or who/ ever does not get the same opportunity?????? dont worry guys when you go thru a
revision it will all become apparent.............. CDV take all out yourselves NO NEED FOR BAG DROPPING

look you deliver to bloke of flats with no lifts and say your delivery is 640 drops which means that your RM2000 has your front 4 slots x 20 delivery points, each being 20mm apart x 4 high, this is equal to 320 delivery points, then you have 2 wings either side of the same dimentions which means a full RM2000 can support 640 delivery points. Out of that 640 delivery point 400 delivery points are flats, how many extra sacks at a weight of max 11kg is used per day once your first bag of 16kg is used.
Then tell me how your employer Royal Mail will service this to enable you to complete your job in the time allocated

They won't. They'll leave it to the postie to sort out, with their usual threats, bullying etc.
Unless they do as I do, and as you suggested earlier. I have timed drops for every bag. I've informed management that I don't mind standing waiting in the rain, but, I will finish at my correct time, even if it means I bring 1,2,3 bags back, of course they will have to deliver them so they don't let it happen. I've stood my ground and refused to use supposed safe drops ever since they were stopped by management,although they are now authorising them again (as long as they don't have to pay). I never have to wait more than a few minutes and I've yet to cut off as my driver bring my bags to me on time.
When we go to CDV's I will still finish at the correct time, it will just mean a different way of doing the job.

Moron eh !, Well wolfie, out here in the scrubs with just 8 walks we only have 1 van and he also as a bit of a walk which makes him unable to run about after us, we have no option but to use bag drops like this, unfortunately we don't have the luxury of having vans at our beck n call like you seem to have, just remember RM is not all about big delivery centres. BTW, the shed I use is very secure and bag is in there no longer than 20 minutes or so.

I'd say a shed is pretty secure, considering my office previously used a ditch at the side of a farmers field as a "secure drop point"!!
That was till a member of the public found the bag one day, thought it was stolen and handed it in, then when they found out the truth went to the press.
