Whats the rules for working a bank holiday Monday if you have booked that week as annual leave?
Someone at my centre has done so but would like to work on Monday. As far as the centre manager is concerned they can't.
They will get the day credited back to there leave card but only once the week has passed. Thanks.

With us 'Letters' we can't come into work if we are on AL.Possibly it's the same for you
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Thanks Postman, I thought the same until today.
Our Colleagues in CvIT have one person in on Monday who is on AL next week & one person who will be back from AL on monday working that day. I didn't think you could do that either?
Surely the rules are 'Group' wide

We all get our annual leave allowance plus we get bank holidays, for which we are paid.

Our bank holiday leave is additional to our annual leave. Therefore, it is not possible to take annual leave on a bank holiday. This is why we are credited a day's leave if we take a week's leave during a bank holiday week.

Nobody can take annual leave on a bank holiday. If some staff are allowed the opportunity to work overtime on a bank holiday, all staff should have the same opportunity because we are all on bank holiday leave. Any attempt to prevent a member of staff from having the oppportunity to do overtime would be discrimination.

Prepare grievances for launching.
