how much leave are we intitled to when a brother dies ??

Bereavement:
The special leave policy allows for up to one week with pay for the death of next of kin and blood relative, (spouse or civil partner, child, parent, sibling) and one day with pay for parent in law (or the equivalent in a civil partnership or longstanding unmarried relationship), or grandparent.

Daz,if you need more,and i did when my brother passed away,the only other option after your week off is to go sick if you feel you can't go into work.

I got one weeks special leave, and a day for the funeral, when my brother died.

Daz, when my brother died I couldn't cope with going into work to sort out the leave either.
I rang my CWU Branch Secretary who dealt with everything for me.
If you aren't up to going in and dealing with managers, ring your CWU Rep, Branch Welfare Officer or Branch Secretary.
