Heard a rumour from one of the area managers that Royal Mail are trying their hardest to pay us monthly from next April, this will mean job losses in the Sheffield wage centre?? and lots of staff won't be happy with that, saying that, most firms do that nowadays anyway..

All Councils are getting paid mothly now, so we will be going with the times, its not Bullshit and it will happen, RM will save on Staff in the wage centre, postage, wage slips, paying in banks every week. watch this space, Monthly is better than nothing, few at my office said they would leave if it happened.

As long as they are going to undate the breakdown of payments on the slip, so we can clearly see how much overtime we are paid each week, monthly is fine with me.

Wouldn't have a problem with monthly pay tbh. All my previous jobs were monthly or four weekly pay, I'm surprised Royal Mail haven't forced it on us sooner though; just think how much interest they would make having our wages sit in the bank those few weeks longer.

Was there not incentive to the parcelforce boys to go monthly a few years back? I can remember something like they got slightly higher wages if they signed up to it iirc.
