just need some advice im a active member of the edl as you might be aware there is a static get together on saturday,march been banned but cant stop static get together.Things could get out of hand on this one,just wondering could royalmail sack a employe if happen to get arrested,knowing what the old bill are like they arrest you for freedom of speech?not planning to get lifted.edl

They have sacked posties for getting involved in football violence, though I believe they won their tribunal. Also RM workers are a reportable occupation which means the Police can make RM aware you were convicted of an offence. However, I do not know if they can inform them when you are arrested and charged.

BTW if it gets tasty be careful as some on the counter demo will be CWU members. I know some who are going.

If the CWU officially support the counter demo and you have a problem with that you could always exercise your fundamental right...and leave the union.
