Door to Door opt out

I've been having a quick look around the Royal Mail website and can't find anywhere that gives me as a customer the option to opt out of receiving door to doors. Am I not looking hard enough or is it not there?

Is it a standard rule for Royal Mail to ignore the first few requests to opt out? Only I've had a couple of customers pester me about stopping D2D deliveries to their address and now that we don't get paid for D2D any more I've told them exactly what to do when they've pestered me again for the 100th time. Thing is they've phoned up and asked for the opt out form then not received it, phoned a second time then sent it back once it's turned up but they still haven't appeared on the opt out . I get the impression Royal Mail is deliberately ignoring requests to opt out until the customer has requested a few times, maybe they think customers will give up after trying once to stop D2D.

Since we moved onto the new D2D agreement all our opt outs currently listed on our walk-sheets have disappeared, so everyone now gets them regardless of opt outs

When I found the opt out bit on the website a few years go I applied. It was only out of interest 'cos we had none in our office at the time. From when I returned the form it was several months before my postie was informed.

In our office we have several D2D opt outs for addresses where the residents have changed. What happens if the new folk miss out on important government info?

It will be delivered anyway regardless of the Opt Out. When the Swine Flu pandemic D2Ds went out all posties should have been instructed to deliver to every address point, regardless of type, opt out or notices.
