Told today that office of 22 walks has to absorb 5 walks

Seems our office of 22 walks has to absorb 5 walks when new walks are finalised and new walks will be 4 hours. I am PT at the moment and if walks go up to 4 hours I will not be able to fit a 4 hour walk into my given 5 hours. I am happy doing 5 hours, what can they do?

30 mins break and 30 mins travelling...4hr walk ...5hr duty sounds about right .....no indoor work....at all.

Fine...if it isn't bagged and tagged...you can't complete it...if they wan't it completed they will make sure it's bagged and tagged.

Agreed, but the knock on effect, full timers taken off of IPS to throw off and prep PT'ers walk, bigger walks means longer prep times, longer time to tie up, IPS taking longer, Full timers with less time to prep bigger walks, I can see a total meltdown on the horizon.

So can i but you are in quite a strong position with a 5hr attendance and a 4hr delivery because there is absolutely no wiggle room at all.
It's the full timers or part-timers on longer attendances that will be asked to do the impossible...you can only deliver for 4hrs or if it's not ready for you....less than 4hrs.

But FT on some days when the mail is down the call rate will also be down allowing a little bit of wiggle.
And then do you really need 15 minutes to get to the walk or 15 minutes to pouch off. (Wiggle wiggle)
And then as a last resort, if the walk you like and know can't be ready, they will find one that you will positively f***ing hate but make sure it is bagged and tagged. (To make you wiggle)

The travelling time and pouching off time should be set in stone,moving people onto walks they hate just to p*ss them off is harassment and well....the opportunities for absorption when the traffic is down SHOULD be limited after the revisions according to those in the know.

Well with all the answers I should be looking upon a 4hr delivery time as a positive in my case. Thinking about it, If I am to do this much "wiggling" I shall have to start dancing lessons.

the 3hrs 30mins maxium span should be adhered to
