Cut offs today

Today we were told not to work over our time,take our meal relief etc (would have done anyway) so i didn't start delivering till 10.40am (which is a record) so here's the evidence of me and 3 other's cutoffs). (we work has a starburst team,4 of us in a van taking smaller bags)

Came in this morning, SH*T loads of mail / flats / packets already the frame .....after 1/2 an hour LM comes round and tells us there's NO DOCKET just cover the ground / 1st class / dated

Got out late.. took my full M/R ( usually I dont take the whole amount of M//R )

Culled all the way round ( not much I could cull ! ) but still came back to the office with a good 60-75mins. work....

1st / 2nd / dated / DSA / packets all undelivered.......all for the sake of an hour or so docket

Uncle allan should be proud of himself

His instruction to NOT give docket for clearing up the mail means that the end of my delivery hasn't had a letter between Friday - Tuesday

All for the sake of Â£9 worth of docket

Now thats what I call puting the customer first------NOT !

My only concern is that because I didn't stop out and finish it IN MY OWN TIME....I will be harrased by the managers tomorrow

Just a thought it may not be Uncle Al and Aunty Adam who say no docket as the stand in LM was going round begging people to do docket this afternoon and to come in early to throw off IPS.

Plenty of D2Ds there I see.

I claimed 1 hour excess, it seemed silly leaving it until the next day and a bit selfish because I'm a floater
It wasn't the busiest day I've had but it was quite heavy totaling 92Kg

in the swindon area loads of walks not covered and loads of cutt offs , loads of parcels brought back after managers said that we could not claim overtime, its just one massive back log , lol

i cut off on my rural dly got out at 9am instead of 7.30 brought back a tray and a half of mail out of the 4 i took out
my DOM was instructed not to issue O/T to clear but he had already promised some guys O/T to clear and didnt want to be seen to go back on his word but he reckons there was only 20hrs claimed but hes still gonna get a bollocking tomorrow in a office 20 miles away the DOM stopped the O/T and there was 55 cutoffs

thats great my friend stagering the strike is working quite well , tomorrow the mail centres come on you posties(im proud to be a union rep)

NO ULSTER...

I almost never do any o/t....I'm no docket king....I cut off for over a year to get a duty changed....while others (fellow posties) accused me of being lazy / harassing me ( you expect it from managers....NOT other posties )---NOT LAZY, JUST STICKING TO THE RULE'S RM SAY THAT YOU SHOULD ADHEAR TO. -- I should have the time to do the job properly !

I'm pointing out that RM say that they care about the customer first......but their actions say different

They make great play of the fact that the strike DELAY's the mail...YEY they compound the problem by delaying it further.....WE GET THE BLAME FOR RM decisions.......

Oxford City.... just 10% post delivered. RM made staff sort .... more or less all the duty time.

i took back 6 or 7 packets including specials and recordeds that were out of the way at the end of my duty.

Overtime ban in my office today (Sevenoaks) out an hour later, so naturally the last bag came back same as a lot of the other lads, not a word about it from the screws before we left found out from my bag drop driver while out so got on the mobile to a few of the boys, not all knew this, some went over came back and found they couldn't book it should ensure our 100% out record in the strikes is maintained. On S.A. this afternoon so my packets were lapsed and I had to finish it (only mine tho') A couple of people asked why it was late told them the score and the bonuses ( :lfo :cfo get Â£350,000, screws get Â£3,000, we get 33p, good way to get public support! Several other breakoffs still untouched when I went home.
