IWT revision-END OF AUG!! STILL NOTHING!

What is going on, can anybody relieve my frustration at the lack of information coming from
either RM or CWU Area about the IWT revision we are meant to be going through??
All I have been given is a bloody folder about IWT!
Where's the workshops?
Where's the release?
What's happening, it's nearly September!!
Once again RM will try to steam roller this revision through in a panic!!
Managers don't care as long as their lapsing is sorted and they can go and eat buns in their little warrens.
"you will have to have a good argument against any proposed savings," says one!
I dont want the revision because I don't trust RM figures, which we have proved to be unreliable.
The DOM stated at a huddle one day that we had 45,000 items when we know it was a heavy day where we usually expect 80,000!!
The DSM came down to do the huddle the other day and stated that we losing 10% volume every year! One of our blokes said, "In that
case in ten years we will have no mail at all!!!
He couldn't answer it!!

word up in scotland from meeting is that the inward workin tool aint givin the doms the savings they require, so are not goin wi it, but pushin on wi savings using the "time and capacity" theory, which means you do it, and if you dont, we spy on you, prep you, harass and conduct code you.

i think the big problem is people using private cars for delivering mail
those idiots save RM millions every year
that even the thickest of managers realise,that stopping them, would be very costly for RM
that is why they are dragging their feet in introducing shared vans etc

I've heard much the same shimmy.
Higson was up a couple of weeks ago looking for £15million in savings and got £7million....he was not best pleased with the Scottish DOMs....so it's back to the old capacity plan and beat the natives with a stick....bring it on...i would rather fight them old school where at least you know who your enemy is and how thick he is.

Please look at the bigger picture......the vote on the agreement is nearly a year old , all the twats who voted for it did`nt understand RM/CWU joint underhand gentlemens agreement , both parties knew the tories would be in power and that there would be massive pressure on privatisation....which come autumn will all become clearer....as we talk on here vince cable & Moya Greene are very close to selling the WHOLE !! business off ...FACT!!
The agreement, that we all voted on (well some of us) and went through will not be worth jack shite ...when the anouncement comes in the next 2 months about full privatisation.

can someone list what this iwt does not include like van checks , throwing large packets out , bulk calls , getting confirming cards from phg, throwing bags out to driver ,
or add to this or take them off the list
does it include tying up bundles for delivery and clearing down the ips

I dont think you are far off the mark!!
It has all gone quiet with RM and the CWU.
When I asked about IWT to the area, they just shrugged their shoulders!
I have been thinking about the privatisation since the tories took over but just hoped their was enough MP'S against it!
I think they will all stall until Christmas and when the New Year comes we'll get hit with privatisation!!
Didn't take long to increase the number of D2D contracts did it!!!!!!!
They got that organised ok!!!
I have got one more bit of fight in me,bring it on!!!

It works from the ammount of mail that comes into the office and is broken down into manual mail, packets, etc etc.
IPS and Prep are worked out from it---it's all complicated and would be easier if we had the bloody workshops like they say we should have!
Not that i'm interested anymore, I'm cheesed right off with all of it.
Bloody agreement isnt worth the shite it was printed on!!!!
