RTD do not get the supplement or the recent £75 lump sum attached to the supplement,although we do deilver households to the delivery offices!

1. The Delivery Supplement is for DOs.

2. The £75 Lump sum was for MCs

3. No one gets paid, except in basic wage, for any method of delivering D2Ds.

AFAIK you can get 1 or 2 or neither but you cant get 1 and 2 together as they are functional specific.

Area Distribution Drivers (MGV Grades)
Lump sums
The £1000 lump sum (pro-rata for part time employees) will be paid as follows:
£200 will be paid on successful completion of the deployment of the 2010/11 revision in the unit.
£400 will be paid on successful deployment of the 2011/12 revision in the unit and objectives achieved in line with the local agreement and no later than the end of the 4 week bedding in period.
£400 will be paid on successful deployment of the 2012/13 revision in the unit and objectives achieved in line with the local agreement and no later than the end of the 4 week bedding in period.
Shorter Working Week
Instead of introducing the 1 hour reduction in the working week a 2% addition to basic pay will be triggered at the same time as deployment of the 2011/12 revision.

Network Drivers
Lump Sums
The payment of £1000 (pro rata for part time employees) will be paid as follows:
£200 paid when the VOCs have successfully completed the deployment of the 2010/11 network revision.

Deployment of Network 2010 review by end of summer 2010.
£400 paid on successful deployment of the 2011/12 VOC revision and objectives achieved in line with the local agreement and no later than the end of the 4 week bedding in period.

Deployment of Network 2011/12 review by end of summer 2011
£400 paid on successful deployment of the 2012/13 VOC revision and objectives achieved in line with the local agreement and no later than the end of the 4 week bedding in period.

Shorter Working Week
The deployment of the Network 2011/12 VOC revision will also trigger a 2% addition to basic pay, allowances, London Pay Rate, overtime and SA rates as a cash alternative to the 1 hour shorter working week.
OPGs working in the Traffic Office and Air/Rail hubs will be aligned to the above by deploying an annual efficiency revision.
The Shorter Working Week for these OPGs, (the one hour reduction) is implemented when the duty structures are deployed in 2011/12.
The Deployment concurrence would be provided in conjunction with the Network Operations Director.

Mucker the union is arguing that RTD drivers who are tagged to delivery offices should be paid the supplement , at the moment both sides are going through where people are tagged. Some who did not recieve the supplement wll recieve it in the future and a few who have recived it intially may have not been actually tagged to the delivery unit.

Now in terms of why Royal Mail are contesting RTD drivers is that RTD drivers do not recieve the mail centre supplement as the ICS was put into the package to get these drivers the RTD current rate, so Royal Mail are saying they are not going to pay twice. However in delivery units the union is arguing that the agreement states that all opgs who are tagged to delvery units should recieve this.

This issue is still being discussed.

I am a professional driver and was informed by my manager that payroll states we are not entitled to it because we get professional drivers rate. I am based in a DO and other collection drivers receive the DTD supplement even though they don't actually deliver any.

royal fail,are using the fact that RTD drivers are on a different pay rate,as the reason we will not recive the del supplement.

however CSS operators, will know recive the supplement,but originally they were told as they recive TPM allowance they wouldnt therefore recive the payment.

another classic case of royal fail moving the goal post as and when it suits them...

They know they have made a hash of things and are trying to make the rules up as they go along. I invite MOYA GREENE to put herself forward for UNDERCOVER BOSS on c4. The top people in Royal MAil don't have a scooby doo about the issues at ground level.
