Thanks for a very entertaining read, JCL. Made me roar with laughter, particularly the last story, brilliant!
However, it's probably not a good idea for us to start bragging about ignoring company rules. You never know who might be reading these posts and the last thing we want to do is set management off on a witch-hunt.

I Think managers are told get rid of the old school for the slightest thing and send them packing, I'm sure they get extra bonus for everyone they chalk off the board. they have chalked up 60 years service in my office since January over silly things. Some managers has not got the heart to do it, ours is ok at the moment, you seem to have proper pratt.

It used to be very strict a few years back but other than helmets and wearing hi-vis in the yard its quite slack now. As long as you turn up in a reasonable condition and complete your delivery thats all thats worried about.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

If you have foot problems JCL, caused by RM footwear, a simple trip to the doctors will see you never have to wear RM footwear again.

When I last saw one of your Preston managers out on delivery he was wearing a casual pair of three quarter pants, his own trainers and no hi-vis so I dont think the preston managers have the right to say ought about uniform.
