On Rehab and have 2 weeks annual leave

Am starting 6 weeks rehab this week as prescribed by both my Doctor and ATOS. It is over a 4 week period starting today. I have 2 weeks annual leave beginning next week. I am not sure how my rehab plan fits around this as after coming back on annual leave I feel I will be more rusty than before. Anyone have any idea how this would work?

I would say that any rehab stops whilst you're away and then recommences when you start. I'd also say that the 4 weeks is not set in stone and you should be having a Friday week meet with your line manager. They should be concerned of your wellbeing and asking if you're ok and having any probs. If you feel that the 4 to 6 hour increase may put a burden on you (just a guess here) then you state this. This can and should be looked and agreed by both yourself and your line manager. As I always say never go in on your own. Take a rep or committee member in with you.

Thanks for that Dave. My rehab plan consists of 1/3 of a walk, on to a half, then 2/3rds as agreed with both doc and ATOS. Today, in his wisdom, my dom has put me down for a third of a walk PLUS absorption which in my DO is a sixth of a walk. So a thir plus a sixth equals half a walk?

That was my understanding. I remember someone advising about something along the same lines. Would it be advisable to get it in writing that he is asking me to ignore ATOS and my doctor?

Yes get him to put it in writing,which he wont lol
Then you get your rep to go into the managers office and politely ( ) tell him!

Failing all that,refuse to do it,stand your ground and see how far it goes,the further the better,a nice suspension with pay would be nice,how's the weather at your place?

i've been to seen the(stand in)dom today about my rehab just come off sick and going on holiday next week he told me my rehab starts next week while i'm on holiday so when i come back i will be on 6 hours duty instead of four what arsoles they are he has also suggested he's going to take me of my driving duty and put me on a walking duty (i have a bad back) because he thinks driving is making it work he's a bloody doctor now

You can't be on rehab when you are on holiday,it starts when you come back!!
