Exam Results....

Post by fishtank »

Sitting here, chewing my nails waiting for my 16 year old son's exam results to drop through the door.
Practising my best..."it doesn't matter...there's always next year face".
They don't tell you about days like this in the Parenting for dummies book. :nervous :nervous
Where's that feckin useless postman?

Show some respect, he's now your DOM!

I have a vague memory of waiting for my exam results and they were never as good as I'd hoped for.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Your postman is probably sweating his nuts off carrying a bag round the streets for 1/2 a crown a week whilst the students lie in bed waiting for their exam results to be delivered

Can't you pop round the school?

I actually dont really mind delivering the results! The amount of ppl that make sure they are in today, look out for you coming down the street, meet you at the door to take the mail. No bending down to that low letter box. No having to carry the undelivered packet round with me.

:chuckle :chuckle :chuckle For me it's the other way round I put the uniform on and go out every day because I am on the dole. :whistle

Actually FT , you have to go through the same again through college and then Uni - then of course they need a job - there must be many many parents on here who have seen their children try and try again to get work - it's actually easier as a student but when the education is finished...................
