As far as I understand the "no win, no fee" type of solicitor is not allowed in Northern Ireland by the Law Society in Belfast. Although our laws are the same as in the mainland for some reason we have not got this service yet.

Teebs, I think that refers to the free inital consultation and not the whole process.

dont know wheter to use a solicotor of my own but scared off the cost northeren ireland is gb so they should have them but they are not allowed cause of the law society

:sad: Sharonbar-did you lose at the ET? And are you trying to appeal this decision? There are many voluntary groups around who would at least advise you, and if appropriate represent you. I do not want to dampen your hope, but when appeals are put into tribunals, they become public, and all those no win no fee brigade would be on the phone to you offering to represent you if they felt you have a strong enough case.
And of course you can always represent yourself--Good Luck.

hi stokelegs no my tribunal is in october an the union are not gonna back me now as they dont think its strong enough now but they said it was ok at the case managment so dont know why they have pulled out but thats typical off the union is int
