royal mail vans taken away

today in our office and all offices in our area we had a van taken away because of savings. we have 5 driving dutys and 1 duty in the high street which needed a van for reg and packets, we only had 6 vans now 5. the area machanic has had he's
van taken. has this happen to any other offices in the east anglia area

when october cames and the drivering packet duties are working to there fininshing time of 3pm there wont be every vans for collections which start before then. also on more than 3 occastions in the past reg has been stollen of the high street when they used to use a bike . now i wouldn't want to be walking down the high street with all the reg and be knocked on the head.

Same at my D.O, the DOM has been tasked with taking out a van. We will be looking at that as part of our revision.

We have 15 rural duties covering 19 villages/hamlets. Some of those duties do IPS, so IPS could be replaced with delivering to another village/hamlet thus reducing the amount of vans needed.

But you won't need anyone on IPS... It will be so sequenced that the mail will jump into the frame

we had our excess 7.5 tonners taken away years ago and it is so funny when 1 or more is out of service as road services have been delayed or failed.hilarious.
