Was told today that if no parking space close to the office is found for the fleet of vans then the park and loop strategy may be canned.
DOM thought the nearby NCP car parks would be used at £950 per vehicle per year or £60,000 per annum. DOM was informed bby bigwigs that parking budget for the entire sector was just £100,000.
Still no solution to the parking problem.as we speak.
Also been informed that planners are having trouble with parking on delivery.
Many parking spaces are permit holders only so RM would have to pay for that and also there is the problem of lack of available parking spaces in certain areas where tests have shown upwards of 10 mins trying to find a space and even then its away from the start of the loop.
Oh dear...

What with the managers going on about checking our vans and the amount of forms you got to sign in the sixth month license check i reckon they'll be asking us to take them home,especially if they got trackers fitted so they know if there being used for personal use.

So, if no park and loop--as part of the 'revision' what happens to the ;bonuses' which were ours anyway! Mind you, this c---up is not totally unexpected--just put R?M and the unions together for 5 months, and this is what we get!-

Yet to be officially confirmed, but guys were speaking to the manager working with reps and he's saying it may not come in if the parking situation isnt sorted soon.
Park and loop may be ok for suburbs but busy cities?
