Just told by dom that starting next month we are going to trial 4hr 10min walks,any one else been told this?

Apparently you stick to the 6 point guide and if it doesn't suit, you pass it up the line - in the meantime whilst the chattering classes are discussing it, your DOM is implementing it

We've got a couple of those in our office. Pegasus said they were 3:30 hours but they've been timed (by managers) at over 4 hours.
A full timer generally gets off without IPS to make up the time needed for prep.

I find a 4 hours walk to be slightly more than I'd like and my feet suffer. I also find them very inflexible and very sensitive to mail volumes, i.e. slightly more mail takes you longer to prep and you walk slower because you are late and have more to do.

Do not agree to any trials---after a few weeks they become the norm!

Very true stokesy, I well remember the last two trials, with the promise of "reviews" and repicks - well we haven't had the reviews and we haven't had the repicks, and then of course there was the tools for the job which never materialised either.

4hr 10min delivery? i wish, now we are on van sharing/trolly deliveries these are taking well over 4 hours and most not being completed.
