3 months Travelling
Hi, does anyone know how I would go about getting 2/3 months off travelling. I've read a couple of topics about people getting career breaks for 12 months off travelling but I don't need that much time off. Does anyone know of a way around it so I wouldn't need to apply for a career break? Cheers - Jon

You could apply for special leave C which is leave without pay, Enjoy your travels

I think 12 months is the maximum for a career break so you could apply for a shorter one.

We have a boy at our work,who is having a career break for 12 months.Does this break count in his senority.He has done about 10 years,so when he gets back will it still be 10 or will it be 11 years service....

• Any period of unpaid special leave will not count towards reckonable service.
