Now classed as a bad driver!

One of the guys in our office got a letter saying he had to attend some RM driving meeting. He's not a RM driver so he questioned the lino. The lino explained that we were all supposed to have a 1 to 1 meeting to discuss the changes that will be happening and to ask our opinions and aspirations. The lino didn't bother with them and simply filled out the forms on the computer himself.

Unfortunately for this guy the lino ticked the wrong boxes, and he was automatically sent to the meeting at another office. It turned out the meeting was for drivers who had a bad driving recordfor RM and he had to sit through videos of crashes and receive a lecture on RM's driving standards. He wasn't too bothered as the meeting was less than half a day and he took great delight in telling us he got the rest of the day off.

His smug expression soon changed when one of the lads mentioned how his car insurance would go sky high if the insurance companies found out he's classed as a bad driver!

1st thing i would do is take out a grievence against this muppet,er sorry manager as he/she has failed to do his/her job properly and placed the driver in a position that he should not be in.
2nd thing i would do is sit back and watch said manager squirm as he/she tries to explain why he/she did what they did.

He doesn't need to drive for RM to end up on one of these, a few lads at our place have been on it.

One has crashed two RM vans
The second had ended up as very high risk on the online driver risk assessment
The other uses his car (so did the risk assessment and electronic licence check) and had to go on the course 'cos he'd only had his licence back two years after a drink driving ban.

This is plain stupid

You only used to get the 1 to 1 meeting if you had a blame worthy accident, end off. I wrote a van off years back (i hit a tree) and had one which stayed on my record for 5 years i think. If i asked to attend a 1 to 1 without a blame worthy i would be on to my rep ASAP
