can anybody tell me where i stand on this
was on the picket line this morning and my wife whos a cleaner for romec told me the strike breakers were throwing off there own deliveries and other peoples as well mine included
now come monday can i pull all the mail out or leave it be it seems the DOM has got the strike breakers to throw off guys who was on the picket lines mail now this might just be a big conincidence or it might be down to lack of knowledge on the strike breakers part or as the guys on the line are the most likely to cut off avoid more cutoffs on monday
any help in this would be good info come monday
i reckon if it as busy as i reckon it will be then cutoffs here we come regardless

"Honest Boss I thought it would be quicker and better that I take it out of the frame and throw it in again as it would take me ages to check every letter for missorts"

Pre - Prep
Never trust a scab to pre prep your mail. Lucky for us down here in deepest darkest Dorset none of the strike breakers that went in can do either sorting or pre-prep work to any kind of a decent standard. But yes Iwould feel obliged to take it all out and start again, like you say better safe than sorry and as all the Dum's and Royal Mail will tell you GET IT RIGHT FIRST TIME.

After the first strike, I had a load of mail sorted in my frame. Luckily I decided to check it all, at least 25% was mis-sorted, some wasn't even for my delivery. Took me ages to sort it right, so complained. I said I'd rather do it myself then I'd know it was done right and got told I shouldn't be so ungrateful. Checked with some of the other lads who had been on the picket line as well and a couple of them had had their mail thrown off with the same amount of mis-sorts. If you go in on Monday and find it's been done, for your own sake CHECK IT YOURSELF. You're the one who'll get the blame for mis-delivering. Just tell them you want to provide a first class service to our customers, then start muttering to yourself must modernise, must work harder, hail Alan. Must modernise, must work harder etc

Yeah do the checking thing Gaz,also this happened at my place, but was from a regular doing Docket the day after a strike after we had all left.
But what they want is as much thrown in as poss,so i told my rest day cover Manager that i wern't going over 3-30hrs,and it doesn't matter what time i would get out,after3-30hrs i would stop.
He's a cool dude but i half expected him to start, but he said he knew the score, but if it was the regular screws there would of been a massive row.
As it happens it didn't matter, but bear that in mind as well.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I can't see any mail being left in the frames in my office. The 2 strike breakers are idiots. The twat who is on a fast track managers course once said about our wonderful vocation '' I've never struggled with a job before, but i'm struggling with this one.'' The other one is his missus who is p/t delivery. Not the foggiest on the inward. After the first strike when they scabbed at another office, everyone blanks them.

and I actually prefer doing flats first (after coded) as I have a large round, more houses than slots in frame, so I use the Flats as a divide on the double ups.
