Hi,
can anyone help me? I drive a van and do about 100 miles a day on my route what it is our depot is so called restructuring our routes to save money or in other words, grind us a bit more the question is doing royal mail/parcelforce force force use an official system to plan the routes like Pegasus at the moment and for the past few years we have only used auto route, which is 7 years old I thought it had to be a royalm/cwu sanctioned system, and a lot of the speeds have now at the present been reduced so its hard for us to argue the point "how long does how journeys take".

Geo Route 2008 can now be used for collections and packet duties. Remember...if you put s**t in it comes out with s**t. I would only use it when your sequencing machines come in. Also bear in mind that if you are not a Network driver you can only perform 4 hours per day driving,(part time driving hours). You would need to use the "Shrewsbury method". Basically this calculates how many packets/drops/collections and MPH/Meal break etc.It will then give you your driving hours. It looks like you are going over yours everyday. This means you need the route "live" tested.

Once you have your Geo Route revision,make sure your planner has all the stops on the LEFT hand side.Build in your U turns etc.Also your road speeds need to be inputted and your one ways etc.Remember! s**t in s**t out!!
