The faceless imbeciles believe that because splitting walks down in one office works, that it should work in every other office, and are using blackmail tactics to get hard working posties to do extra work for nothing, just so they can be leaving their office up to 1 hour and 30 minutes before those who refuse to be pushed into an early grave!! 
This is wrong, and its about time Royal Mail let the managers run the individual units, to how its workers see fit, and more importantly, in an age where technology is king, i'm sure some computer whizz kid at RM HQ can put together a link on their website to gauge the customers requirements for how, and when, they would like their mail. It's not exactly rocket science, as I bet a link can be added to such sites like Twitter, and even Facebook.
