Night Shift and Allowances

hello all,

rather than start a new thread, i thought i would ask here,
i've just started on these machines as of last night, i'm temporary cover,
as such, i'm on 5 x 8 hour shifts as opposed to 4 x 10,
can anyone tell me what i can/should expect in my wage packet for going on nights ?
there seems to be a lot of confusion (or incompetence) with our manager,
one of the lads told me to expect around £45 extra in my wages ??
i've been in the job nearly 19 years, night staff were getting £50 extra back then ?
my manager is the type who will pay the absolute minimum she can get away with, if the office budget looks better, so does she

Actually I have made a new thread as it was a different question and may have got swamped in 2010.

That sounds right - but IIRC only half is pensionable if you have only picked up the shift after 2000 (Way Forward again).

and thx for the replies,
i understand there are extra payments for keyholders who obviousley have to unlock the office etc,
also payments for a "supervisor", can anyone give a breakdown of these and any other entitlements ?
night duties have been in place in my office for quite a few months now, and to my knowledge, no one has been payed any of these extra's,
the gaffer must be laughing her tits off that no one seems to have the balls to complain about it and insist that they receive whats rightfully theirs,
i just want what i'm entitled to.
