UPS, Useless Postal Service?

Got an e-mail claiming delivery of item from USA was changed from 28th to today, 26th.

So, as I was a dayoff, cancelled everything else ( Walking the dogs, shopping, etc, ) and waited in to pay the VAT/Duty.

Phoned the UPS Helpline, and nice computer "lady" confirmed my delivery, TODAY...

Waited, and waited...2 incoming calls were received, but no message, no one there, and no callers number. ( UPS trying to contact me? )

What's that Diana Ross record? "I'm still waiting..."

Simple answer - don't deal with companies that don't use Royal Mail :0)

A lot of the time you dont have any choice.Ups might be bad in your eyes but DPD take the biscuit in mine!

No delivery yesterday, nothing today, so rang em.

Supposed to be coming 29th.

Can't find the house, no road name so totally confused!

Owe 21 quid import/Vat so need face to face contact.

OH, I didn't choose UPS, the USA provider did... Land of the Free and Lost, apparently.

I ordered some stuff from Amazon. They've split the order (for whatever reason) one book arrived today in the post, one has been dispatched via City Link or whoever it was. The one coming via the other courier is only worth £3. The one that came with RM worth £9... Yet the courier one has a tracking number?!
