WSM operators delivery supplement update

Royal Mail have now agreed that WSM operators will recieve the TPM money and the delivery supplement. A lot of posters on here doubted the CWU would achieve this. An LTB is out on these issues and a further meeting will take place nationally on Wedsnesday.

Great, a 'delivery supplement' for people that don't ever do a delivery.

Do you think I have a point if I start a court case asking for night allowance even though I don't actually work nights?

Postman I think the issue was that Royal Mail dont really want TPM anymore as it cuts across their world class plans. They thought they could intially get away with TPM only in MPU as obviously more OPGs recieve TPM money in mail centres.

The issue was resolved to be fair a few weeks ago but Royal Mail would not announce it until they resolved the other issues. Apart form professional drivers the WSM operators are not the highest paid OPG job.

I fail to understand why people moan about WSM opeartors recieving the money these are all postman and women who previously performed walks and now because they have CSS machines in their offices they now have had the opportunity to sign for these duties. Hardly a crime as most would have previously performed both door to door and started early.

Thats a good point, although the supplement is poorly named it should be named delivery office supplement and not delivery supplement. Delivery supplement is a innacurate description of the supplement and I hope the powers that be realise that now!

And now they don't perform walks - they get Machine allowance and night allowance for doing the duties they perform NOW. That supplement should have been split between DELIVERY posties.

Yes, and I am one of them and I would like to thank the CWU, RM, the negotiators, My Manager, dingo and all those stalwarts that arranged for me to have a pay rise without doing any more work

I'm not bitter about it,i find it strange,but not bitter,even though the PHG's seriously take the piss at my place.They even moan when they have to put the stuff out!
