stage 2 help needed

hi all im new to this site
my question is over the past few years my sick record hasnt been too good(family troubles) and its landed me on a stage 2.
i havnt had a day of in 9month up until recently,my mam has just been diagnosed with cancer 2 weeks ago and its preety bad,iv took it bad
and havnt been sleeping at all,the lack of sleep caused me to miss work on monday,and iv missed work on saturday also as my mam took another bad turn.
were do i stand with the stage procedure???will i be put on a stage 3,all help apreciated in advance

You are technically in breach of the stage 2 attendance procedure but this does not automatically mean you will be issued with a stage 3.
The best advice i could give you is to talk...explain the situation to both your manager and rep and ask if saturday at least can be taken as dependants leave...this will probably mean it will be unpaid but that is not your biggest priority right now.

And yes before anyone asks a parent does count as a dependant....

A dependant is the husband, wife, child or parent of the employee. It also includes someone who lives in the same household as the employee. For example, this could be a partner or an elderly aunt or grandparent who lives in the household.
