D2D Help Please

For the last 9 years I have worked at RM and under about 12 D2Ds have had very little grief or complaint from them. We now have a pathetic cretin turn up who was of course the greatest postie that ever lived and never made a mistake now ensures that d2d's are put in every frame slot to ensure they go out. Now, as I am the relief on seeing this for the first time, removed all but my 20% for that day, banded them up and stored them safely. This came to the DIMS attention (I was grassed up) and he insists that I leave them in the frame and just band up the post., otherwise the D"Ds just will not get done. I said it will slow me down and hold up the person that takes my bag. He insists not it will not make any difference at all.
is this right?

Time should be allocated to prep 16% on a daily basis and deliver 16% on a daily basis.No more.
If the cretin has time to prep more, then he has time to go out and lapse a bit more.

Does he throw all his D2Ds off on a Monday morning and then take only 20% with him that day?

If you are following him on a Tuesday, for example, would you find 80% of the D2Ds still in the frame?

is the correct procedure to put the D2Ds into the frame for that day once you have thrown in all the other mail, so you are only throwing in one sixth approx per day. Why throw in 100% on a Monday and have the problem of segregating them when you are bagging up. Surely its far easier to be able to grab handfuls as you go along the frame rather than having to try and leave loads of D2Ds in the frame.

Your managers is a cretin.
The guidelines state 1/6th....prep and deliver.
Talk to your rep,if he/she doesn't sort it go above them.
Royal mail don't want 100% prepped on a Monday,it slows down the prepping of addressed mail,increases the time it takes to tie up and increases the risk of you leaving addressed mail in your frame.
It their rules so use them against them.

Your Manager is breaking the rules on D2D's . D2D's are now live mail, so if you leave D2D's in the frame then you could be sacked for willful delay. In our office we can only put D2D's in the frame for the next day after we have finished our delivery for that day...........Tell your Manager to check on D2D instructions .

Heres an idea on monday morning after you have tied up and the 80 percent of d2d still in the frame go and ask you dom to do a frame check. And insist on him doing it properly! Cause a quick glance over isnt good enough with all they d2d id give him 3 days before he comes round to your way of thinking!

Happens all the time in my office. I deliver my quota when covering days off, but if others are left in the frame, they expect me to take them out. No way. Why get paid nothing extra for doing their work. It irritates me when they are put in the frame. Difficult if you cover their day off tues or wed. Especially with large flats and dvd /cd packets. ........but then we have still not had a manager or rep come out and explain everything. WTL......yeah, whatever!

I Have 4 lots of D2D this week, I won't be able to finish on Monday and Tuesday or Saturday never mind doing the absorping, the manager has a headache I'm afraid, cause I'm not budging...

So how does that square with your...simple enough guidelines?

Should have made that clear, sorry, its a new damager. The duty holder was off for a week. I do the same 20% I have always done on that particcular round but to ensure all the D2D's get done when duty postie is off, he fills up the frame now. It means when banding up I have to remove each pocket of post now instead of a handfull and leave the d2d's innit. I said it will slow me down but the idiot was having none of it.

See below it was the new damager that is doing it to ensure d2d's get out every day when duty holder is off as per this week. Damager is having none of it when I tell him so if I remove them again this week except for my relief cover day 20%, can he dissapline me for it. I aint in union btw (yes I know)
