Shorter Working Week
To be implemented in all Delivery Units in line with the Walk Sequencing revision.

We've just started our walksorter revision, ready for late September, and the 39hr week will come in then, looks as though the hour will come out with a few minutes aday, which I believe it will be 12 minutes per day.

Sorry to hijack the thread but we are currently doing the revison and have been told that because we are to far from a WSM ,we wont be getting any Walk sequence mail so have to stay on 40 hour weeks,does anyone know if this is true?

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

If you an SPDO then you should get your SWW and Lump Sums at the same time as your parent unit (feeder). If your not then flag it to the ADR and get a decision made.
I am guessing that if you did not go to 39 hours then you would get a pay rise in line with PTimers everywhere else. It would be against the agreement if you dont get a SWW or pay rise as you would then be getting a worse pay rate )per hour) then everyone else in RM.

Well there was never a clear cut decision on how the 1 hour would be implemented, the introduction would only be on the WSM revisions which would be introduced over the next three years.........................................

it's all about revisions. Our office has WSM. Had it for a couple of months. But we haven't had the new geo route revision. Our dom wants to use the old geo route.
ATM we're getting crapped on with lapsing rounds. Even today we're lapsing with any going over not being paid in ot. Managers are saying we have to use the flexi thus come in late
the following day to get our time back.
All sucks if you ask me.
