BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION 2010 AND BEYOND - PAY RELATED ISSUES

Further to LTB 569/10, we can update Branches on the position where specific sites/work areas had not been in receipt of a new basic pay supplement.

Following further discussions with Royal Mail it has now been agreed that - LAMU (airport) - GAMU (airport) - SAC VIDES (specialised work area) and OPG's working on DWP duties will now receive a basic pay supplement.

The new basic pay supplements for these sites/work areas will be paid in line with the Mail Centre supplement of £8 per week, consistent with the principles of the Business Transformation Agreement. Payments will be backdated to 5 April 2010. Employees in these sites will also receive the £75 lump sum payment (pro rata for part time employees). Arrangements are being made for payroll to introduce these supplements as soon as possible

Discussions are continuing with Royal Mail on other issues outlined in LTB 569/10 and a further update will be provided to Branches within the next week.
