ok people,nice easy monday to get back into the week.guess where all supposed to finish near a similar time but with absorbing,people doing deals with the lino ect this is unlikely to be the case eh? So what time did you finish?

s**t day today for us..even though I was on what is considered an easy walk I didn't get finished until 12.45..so much for traffic dropping with the schools going out for Summer hols.

Out at 9.45 back at 12.55, it was a relatively light day even though I had quite a high call rate.

Out the door at 0945, back indoors at 1350, off home at 1400 (my contract time)...

Having done ~200 D2D drops, ~40% of the week, helped by it only being a single ad per household this week.
Depsite "right of way" being called before 0915, I caught up on my deads (using ~20 minutes).
I took all of my meal relief entitlement on the walk, totalling 30 minutes, split into two periods.

I could have easily done a "top 10" walk time today, but why would I want to finish significantly early and give managers ammo to suggest at some point in the future that my walk is capable of lapsing/absorbtion, rather than doing the job properly as per spec?

i just dont understand how some offices can be out at 8am
we still have missorts to come in at around 9am

was done on the street for about 1pm
still had my 20 minutes to take
so finish 40 minutes early
I didnt return to the office or this would have taken 20+ minutes from that

but i did go out at 7.30 to get rid of the extra parcels we get to do on a Monday.
We do this so that the afternoon driver can have a day off.
It`s the only way i can get finished at the same time as my walking posties that i pick up.

Surely 'hanging' it out' so you dont have to work for a living is just as bad as coming in early, ghosting or using private cars.

Trying to con the business by dragging it out ala above post is pretty bad practice imho. Theres doing the job properly and theres being a sloath to get out of doing extra.

Deep breath.... Out at 730 on the mis-sort run, back at 9 loaded can with packets and bags. Out at 950 to drop postmen. Done bag drops, packets etc and absorption plus my own walk and back to office at 1.

Wow, someone else that realises theres a big difference between 'doing the job properly' and taking the piss. Too many people don't see those differences though and think working to time regardless of workload is 'doing it properly'.
