i am beeing retired throu ill health with lump sum payment i have 25 years service full time how do i calculate what am due

34 weeeks pay, 12 weeks notice, outstanding leave and the share money...The share money and the leave is taxable..The rest isnt...

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

as long as you have more than 12 months service in that is... Moving on from that... the 34 weeks is the same (ill health agreement 2009 CMA/CWU ) The only difference would be the notice period....

I dont know what sort of injury/illness you have (get well soon though ) but if you are a union member, it is very important that you contact HQ to see what your options are and if you are being short changed or not...
You can appeal the IHR but it is a complex situation ( medical reports would need to be gathered ). Also with 25 years sevice you must be coming up to 50 ,so the question I would ask is why havent they given you IHR with pension rather than a lump sump ?
