Not any more!!

I didn't even get the early bloomin shift allowance for the 7 months I did earlies, mostly on my own. Didn't know I should've got it until a while later and then I couldn't remember the dates etc so grudgingly let them have it.

If you're a supervisory PHG then you get leadership allowance but technically, there's not really any such grade as PHG anymore. We're all OPGs.
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

When did the PHG grade go,was it the way forward deal,and how long did they keep their allowances for?
Also are we saying now that they are on the exact amount of pay (ignoring leadership allowance) as us OPG's?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

PHG grade did go at Way Forward, and AFAIK the payment continues indefinitely (couple of lads at our place still get an extra £20 or so per week even now).

This can't be any kind of leadership allowance 'cos neither of em do anything other than look after themselves and the locker.

:shock: Yes, PHG went out the door a few years back,but if memory serves me well, they got to keep the allowances for 3 years.

So am I right in saying that if you draw the short straw and get put forward for training in the locker (by this I'm assuming you also call it the cage?) you can't object and you won't get paid any more money?

Ex phgs under the terms of the WF get £20 allowance per week as a reserved right as per Way forward

Yes you are right. The odd thing is that unlike the callers and the book room the Locker is not a specialist duty. I would have thought though you would need to want to do it rather than not - I can tell you it isn't that easy, but I suppose it depends on how big your office is.

With close on 75 posties its not a duty i would pick! Looks like organised chaos in there. They're welcome to their £20 extra for all the hassle!

I haven't heard of anybody being forced into the locker :shock: .....but nothing would surprise me now. :crazy:

Callers office don't get it in my office. :sad: We have tried to get it for them as well, especially when I was in there :wink:

No extra for working in there, infact I took a pay cut when I started working in the Room of Doom, half early shift allowance lost and no extra payment for working the late shift. Glad to be out of it, it sent me :crazy:

No one gets D2D money now though. Most working in the Delivery Function get a supplement based on contracted hours.

Is it fair no but to be honest we have to stop equating the Del Sup to D2Ds as there is no connection any longer. :sad:
