It's Working...

Post by J »

This strategy of rolling functions is working a treat. MC's go out one day, then the MDEC's then the flights are done in then the Deliveries are out!!!

In my MC, the place was up the wall this morning (28/7/2007) when I finished. With the MDEC's following the MC's the knock on effect is if your posting a machinable letter on Tuesday and the course of action is taken the way it is this week, then that letter will take at least 7 days to get thru the system. So when you multiply that letter by say what our average intra and arrivals of mech is in the region of 650,000, the backlog is phenomonal.

Good stuff!!!

Sorry about edit folks, I put 'fights' instead of 'flights'!!!

LOL!!!

But it is good too coz I had to pass my local DO this morning on the way home like I do every morning and had a chat with the pickets there coz I knew a few of them and they're spirit is amazing. It's a good feeling when you actually physicaly talk to comrades from the other functions and know they're spirits and feelings are as high as your own. NICE ONE!!!

Our picket line was told this morning that the manager of Peterborough Mail Centre described his office as "stuffed". CB Mail Centre is reportedly "stacked high with Mailsort 3". strike breakers at CB Delivery Office apparently "barely scratched the surface" of the mail on hand this morning, and they were allowed to go home at 0915 instead of 1100, after Royal Mail had provided a free breakfast for them!

...and thats the beauty of it. So with 3 weeks action. your gonna get 2 weeks backlog. When we go out on Tuesday morning, this is gonna shaft the network full stop!!!

Lets keep up this momentum, coz now they are pulling every trick in the book now locally and the know they're little underminig schoolboy BULLY tactics ARE NOT WORKING!!!

COME ON!!!! :Applause :Applause

Any action we take has an effect it might not be enough for some however it is hurting them they are just going out of the way to make it look like it isnt.

Look at the contempt they treat us with they now think we cannot see through their propaganda.

Notice to managers I do have my own eyes and ears.

its working

Post by lovejoy »

Yeah this tactic is much better for the backlog. Stacked up in MC

For the 3rd time in a row we were 100% - Quality

100 members on the night shift picket line, an electric atmosphere!

Has anyone else noticed that managements heads have dropped? They have given up in here!

Lets turn the screw now.

In Processing/Distribution - Plenty of breaking down bags, double check vehicles, weigh every dispatched bag - just to be sure its ok!, and go firmly into plodding mode

In Deliveries - come in on time (or late ha), take break, have cup of tea at frame, weigh all bags then take the van out.

Basically a withdrawell of all goodwill.

They're on the rack. Lets keep strecthing them

There were 32 yorks of Stamped collection packets at our office on Thursday night due to be despatched to the Mail Centre. The Mail Centre refused to receive them saying they could not move for stuff and that they were to stay where they were :dance

It certainly is working. Let's hope we can keep it offical and keep the presure on them.

I have heard that the managers may be thinking about going out on strike too, can anyone confirm this?
