Can you stick the barcode sticker on the delivery card if the item is to be returned or do you write the barcode on the card if the item is undelivered. Some tell me you cant and others you can

Sticker on the card, 'X' in the little box and 'Gone Away', 'Refused' &c. in the signature box. HTH.

Course you can use the sticker! I know some people don't because they've been trained by the PHG who was probably a lazy git and didn't want to have to scan the callers card when they were collected.

However, seeing as the callers office should be using PDAs, there's absolutely no reason why you can't peel the sticker off and put it on your delivery card.

I do tend to write the number at the bottom of the P739 rather than stick a sticker on, unless it's one that has the 2 lil stickers and the 2 barcodes...

Most PHG's would give you a clip round the ear if you put the rd/sd sticker on the sign for card if you have to 739 it and there is not a sticker left for them to scan it when it get collected by the customer at a later time.
(Did that makes sense? )
If there is no sticker then they would have to manually either write it on the card or input it into a PDA which would take time in a busy room of doom.

I usually use one of the little stickers they sometimes have or if not i write the number.

Also do you guys get rd/or sd with NO stickers at all on them,wtf is that about ffs!

There should be a bar code still on the main sticker bit thats stuck to the item.

I always write the number....last thing I want ( irrespective of pissing off the PHG - even though he will remember you slowing him down, and decide to slow you down when you want to get your SDs in a rush ), is to get a re-delivery, to be done in pissing down rain, that I have to write out with the sticker I peeled off and put on an old card

I Put one sticker on the p739 card and one on my E Pod card, so when the customer comes to the window the phg has to write on the E Pod card, that will give him something to do. sometimes there is two very small stickers, I take them off and stick them on a lamppost somewhere just for spite. This morning I had a redelivery so it back fired on me, but its not that often it back fires.
My phg are the first to run to the gaffers saying " he has not put the x on the card boss or no time on the card boss rather than speak to the individual.

Some only have the barcode sticker now, and only one of them, sod wrting out that long number, callers office can always scan the card, because they are not supposed to let it go without the P739 card and ID are they

You know what annoys me? (well, a bit more than most things) The new white signed for labels on a white envelope, sometimes I don't notice it till the envelope is halfway through the letterbox.

I always put the barcode sticker on the P739, I use a PDA and the Room of Doom staff use PDA's so they don't have to write the code down.

Correct Custard. We posties are out in the street in the pouring rain trying to write a number on a damp card where the phg has to tear a sticker off and put it on a card high and dry in a office, the only inconvenience for the phg is putting their pie down for two minutes while they serve the customer.
