I went in and ill tell you why ....
i havent been on here for ages cos of the harrassment i got off several people for having my own mind and opinion.
i went into work today, as did i the other days, because people the changes are coming whether you like it or not.
and when they do i will have a few days pay and strikers will have nothing.
this isnt a plea for attention, or intended to wind anyone up, but i think alot of you are striking just to stay in with the crowd and banter.
make up your own minds. they are making my life at work hell but i dont care i leave soon.

I did make up my own mind and I went on strike on 3 days.
Ok the changes may be coming in but as I disagree with them I will show my displeasure at them by striking. This is my right and it means I at least have stood up for my beliefs. As for having nothing at the end of the strike I will have self respect and the knowledge that when the time came I stood up and was counted.
If you agree with the changes then you did the right thing and you stood by your convictions (well done for that if I am right
). However, if you don't agree with the changes how will you show your disagreement. If you do accept RM plans then you will have self respect and a little extra cash. If you don't I hope the extra money is worth the loss of respect from your colleagues.

I'm all for people having a mind of their own. I might not agree with them on some points, but that doesn't mean they are always wrong. In your case, I'll make an exception.Margate Postman wrote:i havent been on here for ages cos of the harrassment i got off several people for having my own mind and opinion.

The changes might or might not come. I would sooner fight them, and if I lose, I will know I haven't waved the white flag and sold out. You are spineless. You live in Kent, a county which stood against the Nazi's in 1940, so you are a bloody disgrace to your forefathers because you don't have their moral fibre. I'm a striker and if you think I will have nothing, think again. I've got my dignity and self-respect. My family won't be ashamed of me. You are a traitor to your class and to decent humans everywhere. If things were left to the likes of you, we would still have child labour and the slave trade because the bosses told the abolitionists that those things were neccessary for the economy just like that pair of shysters in charge of this job now. If you think I'm harrassing you, I couldn't care less. The likes of you are responsible for every ward closure, factory closure, school closure, transport cut and enforced redundancy because you haven't got the courage to stand up and fight. You are beneath contempt. A lousy gutless scab.

Re: I went in and ill tell you why ....
Well everyone has a mind of there own at the end of the day. I myself am a striker , i do it same reasons at TBT, i have respect for myself and my fellow workers that we shud not be treated so unfair and be told we are underworked and overpaid is unreal!!sorry no way are we underworked by any means, also with all the changes they dont care about ppls family commitments , the dont care that we will be carrying a lot of more weight on our backs, like we already dont carry enough rubbish, team leaders and if someone is off sick the rest left to do the extra! what kinda life is that? The moral is awful from everyone, a happy workforce is a better one and will function a lot better not the way things are at the moment! As for you, going in, well, what do i say? u r leaving soon so u dont care? umm, if i was leaving i wud still strike then i can look back and think i stood for what was right and proud 2, even if we come out none the better . If we do come out the better the ones that came in i wud begrudge them getting anything! a scab in my work who i thought was an ok person i cant help but find it really hard now to think that now.. and im not a nasty person, but after reading this site and how DOM's have treated people i will stand up with my head high! we wont loose without a fight! Hope your happy when u leave Royal Mail!Margate Postman wrote:i havent been on here for ages cos of the harrassment i got off several people for having my own mind and opinion.

Nasty? Hardly. How can anyone be nasty to someone like you who would see the next generation reduced to low paid barbarism because you don't have the courage and integrity to fight back. You support a system which is rotten to the core and which defends parasites pocketing £3m. while throwing people out of work. You bloody stooge!Margate Postman wrote:go ahead and say your nasty things, im doing what i beleive in and think is right, just as you are.

this was bound to put peoples backs up.but i think alot of you are striking just to stay in with the crowd and banter

If you mean the people on strike who are trying to defend their conditions while you undermine them, I hope they are making your life hell.Margate Postman wrote: they are making my life at work hell but i dont care i leave soon.
