How long is your walk?

Reason I ask is I have 470 houses with long drives, lots of letters and parcels and takes me forever. What is reasonable?

each walk varies, you need to be a floater, then you can compare.
you may find a walk is 60 mins longer, dont fotget travelling time as well.

Long drives are a posties nightmare.

My walk 3hr 30 min - 4hr depending on signed items + 35 min travel.

Add the 15-30 min absorbtion on top.

Every door today, 640 in total, not many packets, reasonable walking speed, 3.15.

3h 30min - 4h again like others have said it depends on signed for items, packets and number of pouches. It takes about 5 minutes to cycle back to my drop point, get my next pouch and cycle off to start it; which means any more than 6 pouches and I'm fighting a losing battle to get done on time.

every day finish after 3 at least. the other day was 4.25 (including break time 20mins) and was final straw. the postie that delivers to my house walks at a reasonable pace compared to me. i walk fast and would have to run or jump over walls which i am not prepared to do. i had to ask for a trolley its that much parcels. i have nearly wore through a new pair of trainers i bought just over a month ago, all the uniform i have been issued with is a hi-viz.

Have you put an order in for a complete uniform? If you have and you still haven't got it bang a grievance form in!

the time i get it i will be leaving to go back to uni, guess they think everyone is dying to get a job and willing to be worked into the ground. yes i have a mortgage but value my family and health more. im not afraid of hard work but get more than a bit peeved off knowing others in the office are finshed by 2 at the very latest. put the newbie on the crap walk that nobody wants, everyone i have spoke to has said its a bad walk.

Gravel driveways are bad to. I've seen less stones on a beach than on some of the drivesways on my round.

tell me about it, most of the drives are like that but there is one i have on an incline that has steps at the end of it, nearly break my neck on it every time and another where im up to my ankles in chuckies

2hrs 30mins on average,i am a bit of a runner though! Like to be home for 12,cup of tea and a snooze.wake up about 2 when am supposed to be finishing
