office resign?

one fella is leaving our officein a couple of weeks , and now are told we may have a full office resign . the fella leaving is only mid table seniority so surely his duty just goes up for signing and work down from there. If anyone knows the correct proceedure drop us a line ta .

if its a full office resign then all duties will go into the hat even those who are signed into a duty and then everyone has to sign for a duty. A mini resign is where any duties where people have signed into a duty and no longer work there for whatever reason then these duties go up for grabs to people who dont have a duty. However if someone who has a duty wants to throw their duty into the hat and try to sign for a different duty then they can. Have i just made things more confusing?

Vacant duties should be advertised every 6 months or when ther number of vacant duties hits 5% which ever comes sooner.

yes if there is a vacancy still when the person leaves it should be put up on the board for everyone to look at and put in for

true postbitch we had a vacancy in our office think it was a driving vacancy.the driver left and the manager wanted to absorb the duty without putting it up on the board it took about 8 months for him to make his mind up but in the end the dom put it up and the most senior man got it

The point was if you have a mini resign and someone higher wants a change they have that right.You also might find others may change their walks as more becomes available. Then before you know it a full resign is taking place.If you start with a full office resign from the start it take that possibility out.Of course some may not want this as easy walk goes.

agree if one of the top senior people wqant to sign for the duty then you may as well have a full resign , but if not then just that one goes up ?

From what we've been told in our office is that if a certain percentage of deliveries change i.e 50% (but just using that figure as an example) then ALL deliveries go into the pot for a re-sign. Even those duties that haven't changed at all. When people leave and duties become vacant thats when you have a mini re-sign. That's what we've been told so how true that is I wouldnt like to say.
