I have been on sick leave for almost six months and there is no possibility of a return to work in the near future.
I am about to be placed on half-pay and I understand that I will be entitled to SSP aswell.
Do I have to apply for this or is it automticaly paid to me ?

They will pay it to you automatically,no need to apply for it. :dance
Oh and hope your feeling better soon.

one little point, its not in addition to your half pay, only if your half pay takes you below the ssp threshold then it will be topped up to the minimum ssp limit, so if your full time contract then your not going to get any extra

I am full time, this week I got £32 SSP.
