Is there any agreement between RM and the CWU on weeks 11 to 17 of last year's traffic being the model week for this year's revision as i've heard.The reason for asking is it seems to me its based on the quieter weeks of the year i.e( summer) thus reduced manpower is needed, which in turn when the traffic increases in the autum we would have to flex up looking for staff that may or may not be avalible after a revision.The opposite of this is setting traffic at a higher end would in summer months enevitably mean flexing down thus doing more lapsing on top of an increased Del span possibly and surplus staff.Be interested to know if not weeks 11 to 17 what is it, how did the concept of model week come about, how was it agreed and how do you set up an office with so many variances in traffic recording on a daily basis. Yes pick the lowest weeks and plan the office on that basis, then anytime we are over those numbers bully the workforce into working faster as the computer says it can be done

Got news for you all - we've just had our model traffic recalculated with a further 5% reduction & a 73% call rate

My delivery is planned on 88% call rate, logic dictates that RM should be montoring call rates all year round. It would be most useful to see how sesonal fluctuations affect call rates.
